Blanca Estrada (Clinical Director)

Blanca is the Clinical Director at Aviva. She was born in Nicaragua and emigrated to the US at age 10. Her life’s journey led her to pursue Psychology and a Masters of Science in Counseling. She has over 25 years of experience. She has specialized in Children’s Mental Health and their varied needs and goals for therapy, as well as a variety of diagnoses among them. She’s also provided individual & group therapies to children as well as adults across a variety of settings. She has also worked as a Behavioral Health Assessor for Family Court cases of abuse and neglect and served as an expert witness in the same cases. She is currently licensed in the State of Florida (LMHC), The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (LPC) and the Commonwealth of Virginia (LPC). She is a National Certified Counselor under the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Her goal is to help her clients find a path to growth and healing, as well as lead them to better understand the mind/body/soul connection.

Miki Hwang (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner)

Miki is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working at Aviva. She graduated from Drexel University in 2017 and possesses outstanding performance with scientific and compassionate care. She was a Critical Care RN and emergency department nurse prior to having Nurse Practitioner status, with a strong medical background. She is recognized in the community for excellent therapeutic alliance derived from listening skills and valuing human dignity.

Kim Shiller (RN)

Kim is a RN working with Aviva. She started working at a hospital as a full-time nurse in 1992. By 2000, she began working only on weekends as she had her first son then. Around 2018, she started working in an out-patient clinic for people who have Mental Health Issues. She has a joyfully social personality and loves talking to people and helping them out. She loves her family comprising of her husband, two boys and a female dog and equally loves her job as well. She’s looking forward in meeting new people whom she can help.

Parminder Kaur Mahil (Case Manager)

Parminder is a Case Manager at Aviva. She has over 20 years of experience within Mental Health Case Management. She worked for 10 years at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital – Community Acre Program and another 10 years at North western Human Services. She is well recognized within the community for her excellent service. She has assisted individuals with chronic illness and mental health issues, to connect with community resources, housing needs and monitor their mental and physical health treatment.

John McCollum (Therapist)

John is a master’s level Therapist at Aviva Mental Health Services. He has over 23 years of experience within this field. He is a detail worker with a strong record of achievement, especially skilled in drug and alcohol counseling, co-occurring disorder, case management, complex trauma, grief therapy, organizational management & leadership. He is self-motivated with a continuous development of interpersonal and communication skills. John is a motivational speaker/trainer in the field of human services & social services/consultation and presentations. He has worked with medication assisted treatment (MAT) including behavioral counseling and recovery support services for those struggling with opioid and alcohol use disorder; in conjunction to mental health disorder with children/adults and incarcerated men and women. He is a Master License Social Worker (MLSW). In addition, John also served in the United States Marine Core from June 1979 to Sept 1987. Honorable Discharge.

Quin Nguyen ( Outpatient Clinician)

Quin is a master’s level Outpatient Clinician at Aviva Mental Health Services. She is a marriage and family therapist and has been practicing psychotherapy since 2013. She finds joy in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families discover and reach their goals using short term therapy methods that meets each person’s individual needs. Through her training at Drexel University, centered around the “Person-of-the-Therapist” method, she uses her thoughts, feelings, empathy and whole sense of self to guide how she connects with every individual. She finds an honor and privilege to hold this sacred space where an individual can open up his/her/their true self/selves to her. Her hope is to build a therapeutic relationship that leads to growth, empowerment and healing.

Kojo Danso, (Behavior Consultant)

Kojo is working as a Behavior Consultant at Aviva. He has been with Aviva for almost 3 years with a total experience of over 6 years within the field. He loves working with Children and he understands them remarkably well. Even the children’s families love having Kojo be a part of their child’s therapy process. Kojo is a very humble and a hard-working individual and it’s a pleasure to have him on the team.

Maggie Barakat (Outpatient Clinician and Mobile Therapist)

Maggie is a master’s level Outpatient Clinician and Mobile Therapist at Aviva Mental Health Services. She has over 15 years of experience within the field and has worked as a Clinician, a Family-based Therapist, a Mobile Therapist and a Mental Health Professional. She specializes in play therapy and cognitive behavioral health. She is certified in Mindfulness Mediation and has extensive work experience with children with behavioral and mental health needs, and those diagnosed with Autism.

Elton Menezes (IBHS Co-Ordinator)

Elton is working as an IBHS Co-Ordinator at Aviva. Originally a Pastry Chef by profession, he has started off newly into this field however his passion for learning is making him pick things up at a remarkable rate. He is extremely detail-oriented and strives to achieve perfection in every little thing he handles. He is currently working remotely with Aviva. Apart from these, he is also very tech-savvy. He likes building computers, testing games, graphic designing, sound editing & video editing. In his free-time, he loves to bake & cook, play a variety of musical instruments and sing.

Kevin Patrick (Administrative Assistant)

Kevin is working as an Administrative Assistant at Aviva. Kevin is an honest and hard-working individual who strives to learn new things. He is currently working remotely with Aviva. Besides work, Kevin is a multi-talented individual. He conducts Online Physical Fitness classes for a wide base of clients who connect with him from various parts of the world. He is also a fan of soccer/football and plays the sport well too. He follows the leagues and matches diligently. He also loves activities like trekking, diving and hiking.
